Product characteristics

Super TPU peelable paint AT18 kit is a kind of aliphatic molecular polymers, with excellent surface, high resilience, hydrolysis resistance, yellowing resistance, moisture and heat resistance, and other advantages, after dry it becomes a strong layer of TPU PPF.

Application and usage precautions

AT18 peelable paint kit

AT18 peelable paint is divided into A18 basecoat and T series topcoat kits.

1. Base coat A18

A 1.4-2.0mm nozzle gun can be selected to improve spraying efficiency. When spraying multiple layers, the flash-off interval between each layer is 5-10 minutes. It is recommended to apply at least four layers, and the number of layers can be increased to obtain a more superior protective effect. A18 coating can be allowed to dry naturally for 24 hours, or baked at 60-70°C for 45 minutes to 1 hour, until the base film is completely dry before applying the special topcoat (after cleaning the spray gun).

2. Topcoat T series

The T-series topcoat is available in two options, the regular T18 kit and the polishable TA kit. Choose one of them is OK as per requests.

For the users with good working conditions and skilled technicians, the T18 kit is recommended. For the users with poor working conditions and less experienced technicians, or where the paint surface requires polishing, the TA kit is recommended.

2.1  T18 topcoat kit(nonpolishable)

  The T18 topcoat kit contains two components: T18 and TH, The mixing ratio is T18:TH=1:1. It is recommended to use the mixture within 2-3 hours after mixing. Stir manually for 2-3 minutes until even before spraying. It is recommended to apply at least four coats. When applying multiple coats, allow 5-10 minutes between each coat for flash drying. The surface dry is  often within 15 minutes. After at least four coats, allow it to air dry for 12 hours, then bake at 60-70°C for 30 minutes for best results. If time is tight, can choose to air dry for 2 hours and then bake at 60-70°C for about 1 hour.

2.2  TA topcoat kit (Polishable)

The TA topcoat kit contains three components: TA, TB, and TC. The mixing ratio is TA:TB:TC = 2:1:1. It is recommended to use the mixture within 2-3 hours after mixing. Stir manually for 2-3 minutes until even before spraying. It is recommended to apply at least four coats. When applying multiple coats, allow 5-10 minutes between each coat for flash drying. The surfaces dry is often within 15 minutes. For best results, allow it to air dry for 12 hours first, then bake at 60-70°C for 30 minutes. If time is tight, can choose to air dry for 2 hours and then bake at 60-70°C for about 1 hour. After drying, the surface can be polished as needed(polishing tip: don’t keep polishing at one area for a long time to make the area temperature too high which may cause some cloudy effects).

3. Performance test under standard experimental conditions

Tensile strength: 30MPa

Elongation: 700%

Tear: 80N/m

4. Storage conditions: Place in a dry, dark place, seal, and avoid heat and moisture.

5. Shelf life: 3 years
